“I wanted to thank you for creating such a special place for kids to engage in mathematics.  Our son has always loved math but we watched that spark slowly go out this year.  He felt unchallenged with grade level math , so he was placed in a group and given math problems that he found too difficult without instruction.  As a result, his confidence plummeted and he stopped asking for math problems to do at home.  We were not sure how camp would go this year, but we are thrilled with his progress so far!

I wanted you to know the change we have already seen after two days at your camp.    He told us that he finally found math that was “just right” for him - not too difficult and not too easy.  He has to think through and persist.  You have created a safe, fun environment where creativity is supported and risk taking is encouraged.    Our son comes home asking to work through some math problems.  This is something we used to enjoy together all of the time but was missing for the last nine months.  Thank you, again, for all that you do for kids in instilling intrinsic motivation with math.  We are grateful beyond words.”            - Rebecca, mother at Polaris at Ebert
