First lego league robotics

First LEGO League (FLL) Robotics offers children a chance to explore and compete in STEM concepts.  Robotics is a fun, tangible way for children to explore programming concepts through automating a machine to execute a series of complex tasks.  It is also a compelling activity for children to practice and improve their patient problem solving skills.

Pi Q Math gives children an opportunity to play with robotics during two summer week-long camps Pi Q Math has also supported two fabulous teams over two seasons.

The Teller Tigers competed in the Colorado School of Mines qualifying tournament in December, 2012.  Against 40 other teams, the Teller Tigers placed 8th on the robotics table, won a 2nd place trophy for best robot design and earned a golden ticket to move on to the 2012 Colorado State Championship!

7 Kids and a Robot competed in the SE Metro qualifying tournament in November, 2013.  Against 40 other teams, 7 Kids and a Robot won a 2nd place trophy for best robot design and earned a golden ticket to move on to the 2013 Colorado State Championship.

Please contact Pi Q Math if you are interested in starting an FLL team and have questions or need coaching support.  The season runs from August through January.  For more information on First in Colorado, visit www.FLL.ColoradoFirst.org.
